CloudCasa by Catalogic Debuts Proactive Data Protection Service on Microsoft Azure Marketplace
CloudCasa is a cloud native, proactive data protection service that enables enterprises to leverage business scalability through multi-cluster management across all Kubernetes distributions and hybrid cloud environments, according to the vendor.
Fully supporting Velero, CloudCasa detects vulnerabilities within Kubernetes clusters and alerts relevant teams, providing enhancement to overall security posture. This is done while simultaneously delivering the benefits of open source and SaaS management, avoiding vendor lock-in, and addressing compliance requirements for Kubernetes data protection and disaster recovery (DR).
“We’re pleased to be a part of Microsoft’s expansion into Kubernetes applications in the Azure Marketplace,” said Sathya Sankaran, founder and GM of CloudCasa. “CloudCasa was one of the initial Kubernetes apps in the marketplace, and it is featured in Microsoft’s announcement of its new transactable Azure Container Marketplace. CloudCasa has been laser-focused on Kubernetes since inception, and we’re happy to partner with Microsoft on further expansion of this exciting ecosystem.”
The solution’s availability on the Azure marketplace introduces several benefits that seamlessly ease and accelerate cluster management. With CloudCasa, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) users will now be able to register their Azure accounts and automatically detect and locate their AKS clusters. Once located, backup policy management across Azure regions and accounts are centralized, ultimately reducing the time to recover AKS clusters and data.
“Through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, customers around the world can easily find, buy, and deploy partner solutions they can trust, all certified and optimized to run on Azure,” said Jake Zborowski, general manager of the Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp. “We’re happy to welcome CloudCasa to the growing Azure Marketplace ecosystem.”
Additionally, Azure customers can migrate to AKS from Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service and Google Kubernetes Engine, as well as from on-premises clusters of any Kubernetes distribution.
