Catalogic sells ECX copy data management software to IBM
Catalogic is selling off its flagship ECX copy data management business to IBM for an unspecified amount. Catalogic has said that the reason for the deal was to concentrate its resources on Cloudcasa, a cloud-native data protection service, that it considers as a bigger opportunity. Catalogic ECX is capable of creating and managing in-place replicas and clones for backup, testing and development.
