CloudCasa Featured in General Availability Announcement of Kubernetes Apps in Azure Marketplace
CloudCasa by Catalogic, the leader in multi-cloud application resilience and mobility for Kubernetes, today announced that CloudCasa was featured as one of the available Kubernetes applications in the new Microsoft Transactable Container offers (aka Kubernetes Apps) in the Azure Marketplace.
CloudCasa already provides native integration with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). CloudCasa allows AKS users to register their Azure accounts and automatically discover their AKS clusters, centralize backup policy management across Azure regions and Azure accounts, and dramatically reduce the time to recover AKS clusters and their data with full stack recovery.
Now as a Kubernetes app in the Azure Marketplace, the advantage for CloudCasa users includes:
- Convenience of being able to transact and pay for CloudCasa through the Azure marketplace.
- Enhanced security via Microsoft’s automated malware and vulnerability scanning.
- Easy search, browsing, and deployment experience via the Marketplace and Azure Portal.
- Support for one-click deployments, and Azure CLI integration for deployments.
- Simplified billing and consumption with the ability to apply Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) to 3rd party solutions like CloudCasa.
CloudCasa is open source compatible and allows AKS users to centrally manage and monitor their Velero installations. Velero is the most popular data protection solution for Kubernetes and has accumulated over 100 million Docker Hub pulls. AKS users can leverage Velero recovery points from on-premises or other regions or tenants or even other cloud providers to spin up new AKS clusters.
CloudCasa provides enterprises with the ability to scale their businesses with multi-cluster management across all Kubernetes distributions and hybrid and public cloud environments. By delivering the benefits ofopen source and SaaS management with no vendor lock-in, CloudCasa addresses management, governance, and compliance requirements for Kubernetes data protection environments.
“We’re pleased to be a part of Microsoft’s expansion into Kubernetes applications in the Azure Marketplace,” said Sathya Sankaran, Founder and GM of CloudCasa. “CloudCasa was one of the initial Kubernetes apps in the marketplace and it is featured in Microsoft’s announcement of its new Transactable Azure Container Marketplace. CloudCasa has been laser-focused on Kubernetes since inception and we’re happy to partner with Microsoft on further expansion of this exciting ecosystem.”
“With more customers choosing managed Kubernetes offerings such as AKS, it is obvious that they also choose to offload data protection to a managed service like CloudCasa. With one click installation and integrated billing, Azure is generously facilitating innovators like CloudCasa to access the trusted procurement channels Microsoft has built over several decades,” said Yongkang He, CNCF Ambassador and organizer of the fast growing K8s User Group (K8SUG).
