Woodcliff Lake, NJ — Jun 30, 2016 — Catalogic Software, the leading provider of in-place copy data management (CDM), today announced that its Board of Directors has elected Ken Barth, a member of Catalogic’s Board of Directors since its inception in October of 2013, as President and Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2016. Mr. Barth succeeds Ed Walsh who has stepped down as Catalogic Software’s President, CEO and Board Director, effective June 30, 2016.
In assuming the role of CEO, Mr. Barth’s primary mission is to enable Catalogic to accelerate its growth rate, and expand its leadership position in the CDM market. Mr. Barth has spent his career overseeing and executing the transformation, growth and development of technology companies like Catalogic Software. He brings to the company deep operating and leadership experience, financial management knowledge, and a global business perspective.
“Ed has been a valuable contributor to the Catalogic team, and has done a fantastic job establishing Catalogic as the leader in ‘in-place’ copy data management,” commented Mr. Barth. “Under Ed’s leadership, Catalogic established our flagship product, ECX, as the only solution that enables holistic copy data management across the customer’s entire IT environment, including cloud environments, by leveraging the customer’s existing storage and virtualization infrastructure. Our ‘In Place’ Copy Data Management strategy is sweeping the market and I intend to continue moving Ed’s strategy forward. On behalf of the Board and the company, I want to thank Ed for his many contributions to Catalogic Software.”
“Ken is the perfect person to assume the role of CEO and lead Catalogic into the future,” said Mr. Walsh. “As an active and valuable Board member, Ken has a deep understanding of Catalogic’s operations and the market that will help propel the company forward.”
“Ken is an accomplished executive with a deep understanding of our business, operations and the strategies we are implementing. At Catalogic, customer response has been overwhelmingly positive, this solution is exactly what they want and now with our newly released support for Oracle and SQL we are well poised for future growth,” said James Gellert fellow Board member.
